TV Season

For a long, long time the only television I would watch on a regular basis were original CSI reruns on Spike TV. I actually really hate being into a show. I think what I really dislike is the commitment in returning each week and the sheer suspense of it all. I've mentioned this before but I love spoilers! Except in books.. If possible, I'd want to know complete plot summaries of all of the shows and movies I will ever watch.

The Food Network pulled me out of vegetarianism

I'm no longer a vegetarian but I do feel guilty any time I eat meat. Oh, I was a vegetarian for seven years and just started eating meat again recently. Chickens and pigs have a place in my heart. I'd have them as pets if I could and if they would behave! With chicken, I don't like the taste anyway and I don't like the texture. And with pigs, isn't it a little weird to eat what is considered the third most intelligent animal? I guess the only time I don't think about the meat that I am eating is when I have it with spaghetti!

I don't know what else I can share about my adventures in vegetarianism. My friends placed bets on how long I would last. I'm pretty sure they all lost..being in the three to six months range and all. I went through a time where my hair would fall off in clumps in the shower. I quickly packed up on protein to recover. Being an avid fan of The Food Network, cooking, eating and various cooking blogs helped me to finally cross the line. I had a boring vegetarian life, nothing to write about!

I think I'm still deciding if meat is for me.

Cooking on New Years Day

Who got stuck babysitting young siblings and even younger cousins all day today? Me! Oh well, good day to make STUFF and get help from eager and tiny helpers!
