Hero/Heroine

Last night around 1 am (I know! I wasn’t in bed like an old folk) I heard “Hero/Heroine” by Boys Likes Girls on the radio. Are you serioussssss? In fact, the song has been on my online playlist all year. I always felt that if it ever hit the radio waves, it’d be big…so we’ll see. I just hope I don’t grow tired of it, I will exhaust favorite songs on my own thank you very much. I’ve loved this song ever since they opened up for Butch Walker summer (or spring) of 05...couldn’t have been 06! Or was it? In any case, I missed them play and was sorely disappointed because I looooooved this song (I research opening acts when I can). So, they’ve been here a couple times since but I just wasn’t as interested…and they’ll be here again with Avril Lavigne so I am Definitely, again, not interested. It’s the following couple of lines in the bridge, the way it’s sung, that just gets me. I’ll forever love this song. Please, KDWB, don’t abuse it!

It’s not complicated
I was so jaded
And you caught me off guard
Now I’m running and screaming..
I feel like a hero and you are my herrrrrrrrrroine
Do you know that your love is the sweeteeeeeeeeeest sin?

Chasing rainbows

When I stepped outside this morning I thought to myself: this is how winter is supposed to look like. It was really beautiful out... even saw two rainbows on my (long, long) drive to work. I wasn’t sure if it was just one rainbow or two rainbows close together.

Either way, I thought to myself: I am going to try to find the end of a rainbow some day. I have always, always, always wanted to. I wouldn’t be driving around aimlessly, exactly… There is a definite goal here. And while it may never lead me to a pot of gold or a leprechaun, who knows? There are other treasures (or other creepy things) to be found: a new bar, crop land, a potential client, an authentic Mediterranean restaurant, your middle school science teacher, somebody’s yard sale, love, ratty boots, a mall, new friends, a Curves fitness center.

Treasure, junk, so-so things... anything goes if you're chasing a rainbow I guess! whatta ya expect?

Question.

Is it “it’s not what you say, it’s what you do” or is it “it’s not what you do, it’s what you say”???

My Name is Sylvie.

I watched season one of NBC's My Name is Earl this weekend--hilarious! All twenty something episodes and I loved every one. Apparently the show is on its third season and I hope for season two and three to be just as good (reviews suggests they're not). Before Saturday night I didn't even know what the premise of the show was. I still don't know what day and time the show airs but I look forward to catching it when I get the chance. I never would have thought twice about watching the show, much less an entire season, if my sister's boyfriend hadn't brought it over.
